What we mean
when we say rare.
Rarity describes how frequently a specific trait combination appears in a breeding program — not quality. Every kitten we breed is raised to the same standard, regardless of designation.
Standard availability
This colorway or trait combination appears regularly in our breeding program. These kittens are priced at our standard rate for their breed. High quality, well-bred, excellent companions.
Selective pairings required
This combination requires specific pairings to produce and appears in fewer than half of our litters. Pricing reflects the additional selectivity involved in producing these kittens.
Limited or near-exclusive
Rare traits are produced intentionally but infrequently, often requiring a specific stud pairing. Very Rare kittens may be produced once or twice per year and are typically reserved before or shortly after birth.
Important note
Rarity describes genetic frequency, not quality. A Common kitten from this cattery receives the same health screening, socialization, and care as a Very Rare one.
